I have have 3 c-sections in a row. It is a pretty big defect. When I wear jeans or sweat quite a bit, it get red, itchy, and irritated. Sometimes there is a smell beside it. Does this happen to anyone else? What is the best piece to do to prevent this?C-Section Scar Gets Irritated & Red?
I have fairly a long and wide incision from a hysterectomy 3 years ago, and bring the same problem. it's that the tissue is unmarked tissue and it still healing (yes even years later)... the stocky pants exploit as an irritant and also and exfoliate if it rubs along the scar.. .
use cool compresses, and I also apply vitamin E 2 times a sunshine, this something helps or hurts, as it will hang on to the scar moist, but the mutilation is actually getting smaller this route.
good luck .
Bring this up to your MD - don't put it rotten it could be infected -
I'd keep it verbs add peroxide and some antibiotic cream the next time it flairs up.
