CAN Corticosteroids be taken by a pregnant woman?
They are a class C, if the risk of not using them is greater than the chance of birth defect etc, then it is considered ok to use them. I assume you nick them as an asthma maintenence? That is something common and pregnant women enjoy taken them and had no problems. Discuss it near your doctor.
would not recommend it, corticosteroids are known cause of birth defects.
I hold to disagree somewhat with the above answer. Like alot of medicine there can be side effects. Check out the relation I am including that talks nearly preganancy and steroids. I am also around people next to Lupus on a regular basis and frequent of those patients are on prednisone,.sometimes up to 60 mg a day and they hold had hygienic babies. Talk to your doctor, everyone is different depending their health history. Good Luck.
