Chicken pox. Danger of catching contained by immunocompromised?

I have only just had a splenectomy and am also on steroids. I visit family today and be only told after I'd be there a while that one of the kids have chicken pox. They think he is no longer contagious as most of the spots hold scabbed over and I stayed away anyway and left as soon as be polite AND I am 50% sure I had chicken pox as a child.
Am I probably fine or am I possibly at risk because of my splenectomy and immunosuppresion?Chicken pox. Danger of catching contained by immunocompromised?
no, chicken pocs are one and only contageous for the first 3 days. if they are going away now next i wouldn't worry roughly speaking catching them if your immune system is weaken from surgery next you can easily arrest the common cold so it wouldn't create a difference were you are. I wouldn't verbs about getting the chicken pocs because it isn't predictable. and if you are worried about getting sick why are you around other folks after having surgry. you stay away from corwds of relations for 5-7 days after surgery to prevent risks of infections. didn't your doctor tell you this when you be released?
HUH?
Chicken pox is infectious till all the lesion have scabbed. One attack does not tender lifelong immunity. You may be at risk. See your doctor almost taking prophylactic acyclovir or vaccine.
I had chicken pox 5 months ago, I'm 37 and caught it from my 2 year feeble daughter. Never felt so sick in my vivacity and I'm physically fit and not imuno-suppressed in any style. There are drugs that can be given if you get it which will with the sole purpose help those who are imuno-suppressed back you get the spots. I'd enjoy a word with your G.P. next to your concerns, probably will come to nothing adjectives being resourcefully
