Today, I got my vaccination for a couple of things, including chicken pox. I got the vaccine around 11am, and I freshly noticed presently (12hrs later) that I've developed a rash at the site of injection. I big-hearted of want to scratch it though it isn't in actual fact itchy (I can't explain it). Is this fairly usual, or should I be worried?Chicken pox vaccine impulsive?
Hi,
Soreness, redness, or swelling where on earth the shot was given is the most adjectives side effect, occurring in around 20% of recipients.
About 1%-4% of vaccine recipient develop a very mild over-hasty or several small bumps following chickenpox vaccination.
[NOTE: In hugely rare instances, it may be possible for someone who get a rash from the chickenpox vaccine to transmit vaccine virus chickenpox to another entity. Persons developing a rash after inoculation should take extra precautions to avoid contact beside anyone whose immune system is not working properly.]
You can try putting rime on it for about 20mins at a time, and it should slowly fade over time.
Hope you're notion better soon!
It is actually really rare to bring a rash criticism to the cpox vaccine that soon after vaccination (it is usually 1-2 weeks later) - is here any chance you be exposed and just come down with the pox earlier you became immune? That aside, a impetuous does happen contained by about 4% of chickenpox vaccinees - it is usually pretty minor and - especially if you are elder - likely to be much smaller quantity of a problem than if you got chickenpox itself at an elder age.
I hope you feel better!
