Can someone describe me what this is...?

I've had a non-itch brown unthinking for quite sometime (I'm caucasion) around the front of my nouns lining my lower jawline. I've see it on other women in public, but would never ask them give or take a few it. I'm 47 years old, could it hold something to do with menopause? I'm in recent times now surrounded by peri-menopause and I've had this for a few years presently. Can someone describe me what this is...?
It sounds like hyperpigmentation cause by excess melanin.Melanin causes skin pigmentation and more is dark.this is usually a harmless condition. Some cause are sun exposure, pregnancy,&cases of acne.by the way i never notice it
tht is a discoloration in the skin my mom have tht its from years of the sun hitting ur skin and such.
have you ever hear of tinea versicolor?
Tinea versicolor is a common fungal skin infection characterized by lighter or dark patches on the skin.
treatment is usually using prescription strength dandruff shampoo on the patch themselves to clear it up. you leave the shampoo on overnite for several nites.
other rationale could be sunspots (referred to as lentigines). these are harmless, flat, brown patch of discoloration on the skin. they usually occur on the backbone of the hands, collar and face of ancestors older than 40 years of age. settle to your dr or dermatologist about possible treatment
