only if it's alike strain. Usually it changes every year. They plinth the flu shot on the virus strain that was most popular the year earlier. Most of the time a new strain comes a long and the shot doesn't sustain as well.

Unfortunately, influenza mutates a lot. The number of strains is infinite. So full imperviousness isn't possible. This is why, in the U.S., a unusual flu vaccine is offered every year and persons most at risk from disease are provoked to get the shot every year.
Incidentally, the flu vaccine is a bit of a guess. The medical race have to formulate an estimate of which strains (yes, plural) will be most active surrounded by the coming year. Sometimes guess is wrong and the vaccine doesn't do much good.
