I'm now taking post exposure prophylaxis after a possible HIV risk.
I stipulation to take Combid 300 twice a daylight for 30 days. Some doctors say I can drink alcohol and that it's not related and won't affect the efficacity of the drug. But some articulate not to drink...
Who should I beleive?
Is it ok to drink 2 hours before or after taking the tablets? How frequent beers can I consume? Can I drink Alcohol on post exposure prophylaxis (PEP)?
While physicians recommend not to drink while on anti-retroviral drugs you can drink a SMALL amount of alcohol while taking combid. I would recommend drinking at least 30 minutes after taking the pills as to minimize the amount of stomach irritation. I would also recommend that you closing date your alcohol intake to no more than 5 drinks a week and no more than 2 in one sitting.

Everyone responds within a different way. I would not overdo it. Try to stretch it out ancient two hours. Believe me, your body will tell you if its a NO GO. Look up the drug online and confirm it for yourself next to the makers of the drug if you REALLY want to be sure. Go to the source.
when below the care of a doctor, call upon the doctor 24/7 to answer your questions.
