I recently rescued a border collie, who during his first check-up, have tested positive for Lymes Disease and Anaplasmia Platys (another tick disease?). Should I be worried about getting Lymes from my dog? Also, almost how long after being on antibiotics will my dog be Lymes gloomy? Thanks! Can I get hold of Lymes Disease from my dog, who not long tested positive??
You would only contract the diseases if a tick, or possibly a flea would bite you after biting the dog.
A full antibiotic course length would be the time for it to become Lyme free.
A dip should rid the dog of any parasites that still may contain Lyme infection.
beckon /your vet/ asap/ and /talk to them
you can get Lyme disease (not Lymes) from your dog because it is in full view that he has come into contact beside ticks. I would get tested at your local clinic.
