Cough that wont walk away?

For about two weeks in a minute ive had this cough, its pretty bleak all the time, but get worse when i lay down, a lot of times theres wheezing that go along with it. And sometimes when i obtain to coughing hard i seize a metallic taste contained by my mouth. I have no other "cold"symptoms, no runny trunk, sneezing, im not coughing anything UP...its very strange..what is it?Cough that wont walk away?
It could be asthma. Often near asthma there's a non-productive (nothing comes up) cough, that will get worse at darkness. Frequently there is wheezing and shortness of breath.
Children commonly describe it as "an elephant is sitting on my chest." Adults are more adept at descriptions, and sometimes say it feel like they're suffocating, but they know they're not.
It could also be pneumo-thorax (air between the lung and the sac that surrounds it).
Go see your doctor, a couple of upright tests for asthma include FEV (forced expiratory volume) and PFV (peak flow volume/rate). They're without blemish painless, and treatment is usually pretty straight-forward.
A cough is the body's way of trying to clear the airways. There are plentiful causes of a cough from the simple to the complex. Wheezing is cause by the smooth muscle of the airways being constricted making them smaller and also have many cause. The best thing to do is to stir see a doc so they may be able to draw from to the actual cause.
my sons first symptoms be coughing and gagging..sometimes cough till he vomits.. he have asthma...and is funny you mentioned the metalic taste because he other complains of this ..often..step for an asthma check
it might just be tart reflux. try taking Pepcid AC or Gaviscon. I had a cough for a couple of months. It be worse at night while contained by bed. But come to find out, it was one and only acid reflux.
