Creatinine check?

I had a missive from my hospital today asking me to go for a blood try-out so they could check my creatinine level.
can anyone assistance with some more info on this audition?
thanks xCreatinine check?
Simply put, creatine phosphate is stored within skeletal muscle and is used to generate energy; creatinine is the breakdown product of this process. Creatinine is later filtered by the kidney. Tubules surrounded by the kidney reabsorb (put back into the body) some creatinine, but the rest is excreted contained by your urine. If you have renal devastate, the kidneys cannot excrete the creatinine and it shows up as an elevated blood creatinine.
Large intake of Vitamin C may show falsely elevated creatinine level. Elevated creatining levels may also indicate renal problems (kidney damage).
But don't whip my word for it completely! Read about creatinine at http://www.medicinenet.com/creatinine_bl...
It is a stand blood interview and they will check the cratine levels contained by your blood, nothing more nought less you will consequently see your doctor about two weeks after that to discuss the results
It's *typically* used to diagnose kidney function. Normal ranges are usually .5 to 1.5 mg/dL, but I think other factor are looked at (gender, etc.) when looking at the test results.
Hope this help.
