Have you just now used fake sunburn? That causes equal reaction you are describing on my skin

Sounds like an allergy - try taking some anti-histamine tablets (like Piriton or Boots own) and see if that clears it up. My husband get a similar thing from some wash powders, like the Biological ones; it doesn't affect me at adjectives but I have to stick to the non-Bio ones for him.
